It's the first question almost every couple asks, and the honest answer is: it depends, mostly on guest numbers. Here's a realistic guide, without the vague non-answers.
What actually drives the budget
Two factors lead by far: the number of guests (catering, seating, flowers and rentals all scale with it) and the venue (an exclusive or luxury property can take a large slice of the budget on its own). After those come the season and how bespoke the design is.
Where the money actually goes
As a rough shape, the venue and catering together usually account for around half of the total. Flowers and design are the next meaningful slice, followed by photography and video, then music and entertainment, and finally the smaller but important pieces: stationery, hair and make-up, transport, and the legal and planning fees. Knowing this shape early helps you decide where to invest and where to simplify.
A rough guide
Intimate celebrations can start below €40,000. Most full destination weddings in Tuscany sit between €60,000 and €100,000. Design-led, luxury celebrations go beyond. These are guides, not quotes: every wedding is built around its couple, not a package.
Why I ask about budget early
Not to put a price on your dreams, the opposite. Knowing your real budget first lets me point you toward the venues, vendors and choices that genuinely fit, instead of falling in love with something out of reach. Budget first, then we curate the rest together.
