Destination Wedding Planner in Tuscany

First, who you'd be working with

I'm Claudia. I live in Tuscany, near Pisa, and I plan weddings across the region for couples who come here from all over the world.

I take on 10 to 12 weddings a year. It's a deliberate limit, and it's the whole point: the person you speak to on the first call is the same person answering your emails eighteen months later, and the same person standing beside you on the morning of the wedding.

There's no agency behind me, no account manager, no team you'll never meet. What you get is me, my judgement, and the suppliers I've chosen over years of working in these hills.

How we plan it, from wherever you are

1

A first call, no strings

Thirty minutes on video to hear your story: the season you're dreaming of, how many guests, the feeling you want. By the end you'll know whether Tuscany fits your plans, and whether I fit you.

2

The search, together

There's no fixed list to pick from. You tell me what matters: the view, the intimacy, whether you want a villa, a castle, an olive grove, somewhere that takes dogs. Then we look for it together. I know a great many places, and when none of them is right for you, we go and find the one that is.

3

The paperwork, handled

Marrying in Italy as a foreign couple means documents, translations and a declaration from your consulate. Requirements change with your nationality and your ceremony, so I'll tell you exactly which ones apply to you, and I take care of the Italian side.

4

Suppliers, and no language in the way

Photographer, florist, catering, music, hair and make-up. Some of them speak good English, some manage, some rely on me. It has never once been a problem, because I'm in the middle.

5

One visit, if you want it

Many couples come once, a few months before, and we see everything in two days. Many others never come until the wedding week. Both work: I plan for the second and welcome the first.

6

The day itself

I'm there from the first delivery to the last song, with the timeline in hand and the suppliers coordinated. Your only job that day is getting married.

The questions every couple asks

Yes. Foreign couples marry in Italy every week. You can have a civil ceremony (legally binding, in a town hall or an authorised venue), a religious ceremony, or a symbolic one with no paperwork at all. Many couples do the legal part at home and celebrate here.

The legal route needs documents from your country, translated and legalised, plus a declaration of no impediment from your consulate in Italy. What exactly you need depends on your nationality, so I'll give you a precise list for your situation rather than a generic one.

Twelve to eighteen months is comfortable. The best venues and photographers for May, June and September are often taken a year ahead, and the paperwork has its own rhythm.

That said, I've planned beautiful weddings in five months. If your date is closer than ideal, ask anyway, I'll tell you honestly whether it's still possible.

May, June and September are the classics: long light, warm evenings, everything in bloom or in harvest. July and August are hot , beautiful, but plan the ceremony for late afternoon. April and October are quieter and often lovelier, with a small risk of rain and a real saving on almost everything.

No. Most of my couples plan entirely by video call and arrive a few days before. I visit venues on your behalf, film what you'd want to see, and ask the questions you'd ask.

If you'd like to come, one visit is usually enough and I organise it so you see everything in two days without wasting a morning in traffic.

It depends far more on guest numbers and venue than on anything else: the same celebration for 30 people and for 120 are different projects.

I don't publish price lists because they'd be fiction. What I do, on the first call, is give you a realistic range for what you're describing, before you fall in love with something out of reach. If your budget and Tuscany don't meet, I'd rather tell you at the start.

You'll speak to me, and I speak English. Among the suppliers, some do well, some get by, some don't really, and it has never been the thing that went wrong, because I'm the one in the middle.

What matters is that every quote, every contract and every decision reaches you in a language you read comfortably, and that nobody nods along to something they haven't understood.

Every plan I make has a second plan underneath it, agreed with the venue before we sign anything. You'll know exactly what happens if the sky opens, and so will the suppliers. It's the kind of thing nobody thinks about until the week of, and by then it's late.

Let’s Create Something Unforgettable
